Syria – is another victim of the «revolution», stirred up in every country of the region by anglosaxons.
Nikolay  Starikov, notable historian and blogger, received a letter in April from a reader of his blog,
who’s mother is located in Syria. Directly in the epicenter of events, nearly everything that she writes
resonates with the information of the official media. Snipers, killed soldiers… Yet who’s shooting?
Here’s the text of the letter.

Thing is, that everyone is voicing their own version of what is happening.
And nobody really understand what’s going on. It is only clear that the people
are provoked to demonstrate. And very many people from security service are dying.
On friday 38 soldiers died in Daraa. Their bodies were shown; there was no blood
on them. Purely masterful sniper shots in the rib cage. I.e. Trained people were
shooting, and not just local protestors.

There were battles today not far from Latakia, in the city of Baniyas. They even
managed to capture the bridge which goes above the Latakia-Damascus motorway,
and today all buses to Damascus were cancelled. Our friend must go and meet his wife
today; she is flying from Moscow to Damascus at night. And here’s a whole problem
driving to Damascus. This is of course not the only road. But this is a wonderful
motorway along which one coud drive at higher speeds. He would not like to trail
along narrow village roads And, again, this is unsafe. They say that there are very
large losses among soldiers. Local residents are staying at home, but then who
is shooting at the soldiers?

My husband today has defended his master’s dissertation today. One woman who
was also defending, happaned to be from Baniyas. Her parents ordered lunch in
honor of this event in one of the best restaurant in Latakia. A table was prepared
for 38 people. Only 8 came. Everyone is afraid to gather in big companies.
The graduate and her parents themselves could not even sit for a long time. They
excused themselves and left to depart earlier, since they were afraid to return to
their town. There is a version, that theses women that say on the square in Latakia
on friday who had to be kicked out with water, were purposely placed there. There
were some men standing around there. They say up to 23 hours until the water was
used on the square and they had to leave. After than a shootout began, there were
bombings, as they say even gas tanks. I heard the explosions. In fact, many residents
of the district, with whom my husban work in the evening in one company, tell that they
cannot understand where there women came from. They say thay they don’t know them
and that not one of them would let their wife sit on the square.

I believe, that millions of dollars are given out to arrange provocations such as this one.
Yet I cannot make a comeback to the point of view of the Sunni population. My husband
works with them in one company. They are very honest people. But we practically do not
talk with them. They will tell us what they really think. One is known, that many do not
want a war in the country, although they are not very happy with the government. They
are working, they’re business is going well, and they are very distant from all these
revolutions.

Watching the horrible lies about the events in Syria, the Russian informational
sphere was able to turn the tide just by telling the truth. The tonality of Russian
media changed dramatically. The story about Syria became almost honest.
